My Friends
(Essay)
By: Anne Michelle Gonzales

All of us need a companion in life, no one lives in this world without any companion, confidante or someone you can lean on, without having one; you might have a serious problem. It has a saying that “no man is an island” and this is perfectly true especially to those teenagers like us.
Our friends are the one whom we shared our feelings especially in our laughter’s and those problems that comes in our way. They are the one who understand and give us some advices; they also help us in our ups and down. A good friend is always there for us to support whatever we want to do unless it doesn’t put us in a wrong way.
At first, in this College life, it’s hard for me to choose a real friend, friends that never let go of you when in times of problems because I thought all my classmates before are so snobbish and it’s hard to be with them but when I met Angeline Mariano, Rose Orbeta and Kristine Galos, my perception to them was changed. They are the kind of a person who never let go when I have a problem instead they are trying their best for making me laugh to forget those problems I’ve been facing right now. I really appreciate their concern to me. Because of the attitude they’ve shown me we became friends and I will make it sure that we stay together until we grow older.
Every one of us helping each other especially when one of our friends had a problem, we don’t want our friends are being abuse or hurt by someone because if that’s happened we won’t ignore that, we fight until it will last. I really thankful to God because he gave me a friend like them; they’re not back fighter at all.
Seeing each one of them everyday is one good reason why I’m here and happy. The laughter’s, pain, sorrows, tears, struggles we’ve facing each day make our friendship even more stronger than before. My friends are the one who always making me smiles and stronger despite of the problem I’m facing so that’s why I love them so much with all my hearts and soul. All those memories and laughter’s we’ve shared, I’ll treasure it.
The word “THANK YOU” is not enough to express our gratitude to our friends or bestfriends and the every word and every moment we’ve spend is a rare treasure.
For me, the true meaning of friends is the person who loves you and accepts you for what you are now without judgment and the one who help you to be a better person and that is the real essence of friendship. Being true to your self is the one of the biggest asset that we have to maintain to ourselves to make it stronger the friendships we’ve treasured. And having friends for the rest of my life is a golden treasure.
