One day, all the servants in the palace plan about the birthday celebration of their King at the age of 70. The King wants someone else to replace him at his thrown because it’s difficult for him to operate and manage the palace at his age. But there’s a big problem; they have a two seedlings and whose the two of them he could give the crown to be the new King, so in that case, the King and Queen decided to have a deal- the first prince who brought their dream girl/girlfriend in the same day of king’s birthday, he will be the next King of the Greece. The King calls the attention of the two Princes to say what their plan is all about. After they heard the plan, they decided to find their dream girl but the two Princes loves only one girl. Prince Gian love Janelle also Prince Troy loves Janelle too. Janelle is the pretties and lovable woman in their country. They meet Janelle when she attended the party on the Palace because Janelle wants to find the important key of his father when he is still working in the palace as a servant but she disappointed to find out. After that party they never forget her lovable and beautiful face.

They started to find Janelle, Prince Gian carried his own horse the same with Prince Troy and Prince Gian told to Prince Troy “be the best man win”, Troy answered a simple gesture “smile”. On their journey, they saw a small golden key hanging on the apple tree. The key was owned by the father of Janelle, it is so important to him because that key was given by his wife named Maria- a mother of Janelle. Janelle was only 3 years old when her mother died because of Cancer; before she died she gave the golden key to his husband she tell him “this key was so important to me, so please make it sure that you hide it on the safe place because its gave you a wealthy life on the right time”. That’s why the father of Janelle confused so much for what she have said, so he treasure it and he always brought it into the palace when he still a servant. The key was place on his pocket because a lot of strangers want that key to be on their hand so he still curios if why them trying to get it to him. After his work on the palace Mr. Ken (Janelle’s father) go back home. On his way, he saw 3 men and trying to get the key to him. He run as fast as he can until he saw the apple tree and he climb to hide for those bad people; they can’t find Mr. Ken so they try to find him in other place. When he makes sure those 3 men gone in that palace, he goes down nervously and the key left on the twigs as he goes down. He already arrives at home when he notices the golden key were not on his pocket, he thought he loosed it on the palace and he tell to Janelle what was happened. Janelle obliged herself to find the key, she has a condition; the first guy who found the key she will propose to marry her.

However, the two princes saw the key, tree, therefore which means they owned the key because both of them saw the key. After all the things happened they continue their journey until they found a nipa house, they knocking the door, Janelle open the door, the two prince shocked because they didn’t expect they saw Janelle and she asked “what can I do for you Prince?” with a graceful manner. Prince Gian hold the hand of Janelle telling “you’re my princess, I want to marry you”, she fall in love with Prince Gian because he’s so handsome, kind, gentleman and also lovable guy but she promise herself to marry the guy found the golden key of his father, so she refused to answer Prince Gian. Also Prince Troy proposes to her but she refused to answer too because of her promise. Promise is a promise she told herself and it will never be break. She ignored what the two princes told her while saying “come in, please sit down, how may I help for the handsome Prince of our country?” she asked. Moreover, after a long discussion about their proposal, Prince Gian shows the key they found onto the apple tree. She was shocked for what she seen. She’s so happy and directly says the key was owned by my father and did you know that I promise myself to marry the guy who found that key. The two Princes also happy but they have a big problem, the two of them found the key. They solve the problem by means of battle. Prince Gian won the battle and he marries Janelle. Prince Troy disappointed but she still happy for them.

In the palace (on the day of celebrating the King’s birthday), Prince Gian and Princess Janelle entered the palace with a very cheerful look, then the King declared to all the people in their country that the new King and Queen are Prince Gian and Princess Janelle.

One day, Janelle found an old box on their house when she visit his father, she try to open the box with her golden key then she was shocked when she saw a lot jewelry, and many golds. She told it to his father and they also became rich.

The impact of Peer Pressure to Adolescent

By: Anne Michelle Gonzales

No one lives in this world without any companion, confidante or someone you can lean on, without having one; you might have a serious problem. It has a saying that “no man is an island” and this is perfectly true especially to those adolescent like us.

Peer pressure is a natural part of our life. It is one of great interest in the psychological field. Our peers are the people with whom we identify and spend our time with, they also the people with whom you socialize with from best friend to a broader circle of close friends.

Nowadays, adolescents are much more curios. They want to try something new to satisfy their curiosity and be able to fit in with their peer group. This curiosity leads them to the experimentation and practice of some high-risk behaviors such as using drugs and drinking alcohol. Adolescence is the time when childhood dependencies and ways of life are abandoned, more or less for good. This cannot be achieved without conflict and confused feelings.

The changes and pressures of adolescents are often played out at home. Many teenagers become discontented with their parents’ rules and values, leading to misunderstanding and arguments. Serious conflicts may lead to serious problems including running away, pregnancy, theft, alcoholism, use of drugs and even suicide. Teenagers choose their friends based on similarities, values, beliefs, and attitudes.

Adolescents can experience negative and positive influences from their peers. It can be described as the influences and pressures that the adolescents experience from his peers. Peer group provides opportunities for practicing new behaviors and developing necessary social skills for future interaction. Peer groups can also lead to the experimentation of drugs, cigarette, skipping classes, engaging in sex and other high-risk behavior.

A positive peer pressure can keep a person on the right track. His peers can influence him to study hard, attend religious functions, and become a better person. But on the other side, it can lead him to the wrong path. This negative peer pressure can influence him to doing the things that will definitely harm him and make his life miserable. His peer group can teach him to use drugs, smoke, skip classes and other various negative behaviors. These influences will surely affect his relationship with his parents and other persons that are involved in his life. It will also affect their lives either for better or for worst.

They spend much of their times with their peers rather than their family.

Adolescence is the time when the physical changes in their bodies have a profound effect on their total personality, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually. They spend much of their times with their peers rather than their family. Each adolescent begins to find his own identity, his own place, and his spiritual and moral commitments.

Thanks My Love

By: Anne Michelle Gonzales

It’s hard for me to say goodbye

Because tears starts to roll down your eyes

So I decided to write this simple rhyme

Loving you is not easy to do

And it is also hard to see you go

You gone me a chance I feel this through

When you thought me what love can do?

And I pray to Lord above

That when you’re gone my love

All joys and happiness must keep inside

And our hearts to be our guides

There’s only one thing I want to say

Before I slept and in bed I lay

Thank you because I met you dear

And loving you each day of the year
